Puthuvayil Narayana Panicker is known as the Father of the Library movement in the Indian state of Kerala. June 19th is celebrated as “National Reading Day” to honour the life and works of P.N.Panicker. The activities of the Kerala Grandhasala Sangham initiated by him led to a popular cultural movement in Kerala which gave rise to universal literacy in the state in the 1990s.
We are pleased to inform you that, Shailendra College Library organizes “Online Book Exhibition” on National Reading Day in the memory of P.N. Panicker.
